Update (18-Dec-2022)

Hi All,

Just a quick update. I've tested 4 more scenes that I've added to the game. That makes 6 out of 9, with 3 more left to go. I plan to test those next week, and then I'll play-test the game a bit in general, before finally releasing it.

This week was tough to focus on, lol. I've been playing a lot of games, recently. I bought Dwarf Fortress on Steam, and it was quite fun. I don't think I can commit the time, though. I also had a craving for ARPGs, and I reinstalled Grim Dawn and Diablo III. What games do you like to play?

Cheers!

Hey, got craving for either Barotrauma, Metal Fatigue (ancient shit!) or Space Haven for inspo.

Hopefully you will relax a little during Christmas, and get back with lots of ideas :)

Thanks! Oh man, both Barotrauma and Space Haven have been on my radar. What are they like?

Hey,

thanks for the update :-) Looking forward to the next release.

I was a little bit surprised when you wrote you bought DF. I played it years ago, and it was completely free. I checked it, classic version seems still to be free, Steam version costs but seems to have a completely reworked UI. Although the UI was a main problem in the classic version, I'm not sure whether it is worth the price. To be honest, I didn't stick long on this game, because I soon reached the point where my dwarfes lived in safety, and it got boring.

Currently I'm playing the old Neverwinter Nights mod "A dance with rogues". Maybe the best adult game I have ever played, and from what you wrote about your gaming preferences, you might like it (if you have no problems with a little bit outdated graphics). Primarily a challenging RPG with a dark story, spiced up with a lot of lewd scenes and a lot of beautiful clothing.

Wow, I am pleasantly surprised to hear you mention "A Dance with Rogues"! I have played it before, and I agree, it is perhaps the best adult game/mod I have ever played. It really is the chef's kiss gold standard, for me. I think the developer once gave an interview, and it is an interesting read for anyone interested in game development. One question was why there were so many responses in dialog that resulted in the same thing, and she said that she wanted the player to be able to respond how they personally would. This lets the player really immerse themselves in the game. Personally, I think her story writing and presentation skills are leagues above mine, and I certainly admire how well she mixes erotica and game-play. How open the game is, how much there is to do, and how you can approach it from different angles is also really worth note.

If anyone is curious, Warlockracy did a great 45 minute review of "A Dance with Rogues" (a mod for Neverwinter Nights 1) on youtube. It's worth checking out.

In regards to Dwarf Fortress, yeah, I had a similar experience. I knew about it for a long time, but I waited for the Steam Release. I wanted to get the best experience possible. I still don't think it's really worth that much money, so it's hard for me to recommend it. I think Factorio, Rimworld, or Songs of Syx are much more polished and deeper experiences for the same price. But, the developers did put a lot of heart and soul into DF in general, so I'm happy to have supported them.
