New Version - v 0.4.0 (26-06-2022)


Hi All,

I've uploaded a new version of this game, version 0.4.0. You can play it on your browser, or download a windows desktop version. In this version, you have the following changes:

  1. Added a morning scene, where the main character feels ogled by the people around her. This event will get worse as the main character picks up more obligations on a station. This acts as an extra sink for morale, making it harder to balance income against keeping morale up.
  2. Added the ability to finish the game early, if you have enough credits to pay off the remaining debt.
  3. Added a new mechanism to calculate if a scene will occur. The chance of harassment occurring will depend on the personalities of the officers on that station, and also what obligations are on that station. A panel will explain on each station how this chance is calculated. The result is that some stations is more harassment prone than others, and a station becomes more harassment prone as new obligations are picked up there.
  4. Added extra weight to late game obligations, so that they are more likely to appear (if requirements are met).
  5. Tidied up how the station page shows you what obligations are on that station.

Let me know what you think, and if you see any bugs. In the next version, I'll mainly aim to update some of the art, and update some of the old writing. If possible, I will also add new writing for the later transport types (personnel, VIPs).

Yay - new version :-)

However, I'm not totally happy with the new morning scenes.

- Morale feels pretty unbalanced now, as morale drop in the early game is too high. I had harassment chances of 25 to 45%, each morning scene costs about 2-4 morale. I also have the feeling that cargo scenes were less frequent in the previous release. Starting from week 10, I had to take one day off every week. You cannot handle this on hard mode, so I failed on week 20. Maybe I have to try again at medium difficulty to see how it behaves in the later game.

- I didn't like the way the scenes were presented if you had several obligations. It felt just like a listing of your current obligations, with no relation between them. I would prefer to get just one scene, but with the probability of getting a combined scene. So, e.g., if you have sexy panties and the miniskirt, somebody takes a peek and comments the panties. Furthermore, it would be great if the different morning scenes had different pictures, fitting the current situation.

About the other updates:

2. Did not reach it, but I like it. However, an additional check to not accidently finish the game would be good.

3. Although the probabilities are currently too high IMHO, the dynamic system is good and gives you an additional strategic component. I didn't get how the officer chances are calculated, I first thought each personality would add a probability, but there were no numbers that fit this theory. About the obligation probabilities, it would be a nice feature that bra/panties only add to the probability if visible. That would balance the fact that they are currently the worst obligations, because they can give you additional harassments when visiting the officers.

4. Due to loosing early, I didn't have much officers on level 3, so I cannot say much about this. But I had the feeling that the extra weight works well here.

5. Didn't recognize this change. I will focus on it on my next run.

Have you tried to play it on hard mode by yourself with your latest changes? Do you think it is still doable, and only my strategy was bad or RNG was against my favor, or do you also think morale is too harsh at the moment? And it will be even worse when you add the even level obligations, I guess.

Thanks for the feedback! I like your idea of making scenes that come from mixes of different obligations. I think I started off writing that way, but it became quite hard, and somehow path of least resistance created what we have now, lol. There are still some traces of this, in the later scenes. For example, if the main character is topless, the scene will note what bra she is wearing or if she isn't wearing one, and also if she has her coat. But I do feel it feels very formulaic, and not very organic. I'm not totally happy with the morning scenes, either.

I didn't test them under hard, but I did test them under medium. I did notice I had to take some days off, but I'm happy with that. Hopefully, that encourages us to court some of the nicer officers, too. I got to day 50 legitimately, and I think I outpaced the debt curve quite well, even without focusing on which officers I saw. I don't think your strategy or RNG is the issue, but I think the issue is that the hard difficulty is really punishing. That was certainly the case before I created the 3 difficulty levels, when the game values were the same as hard mode.

I think I'll put aside the morning scenes for now, and focus my attention on some of the other, hopefully easier, scenes. Once my writing skills improve, I might revisit the morning scenes again, later. The good thing is that I designed it in a way such that it's very easy to add new scenes and tweak their frequencies.

In regards to the officers' contribution to the harassment chance, it starts off at +3% for each sleazy or stern officer, but it's multiplied by x2 if they are a major, x4 if they are a colonel, and x8 if they are the general. So, a lewd general will start the Headquarters at 39% (24% + 15% base) chance of harassment, before the other officers or obligations are even counted. After that, obligations are another +6% per public obligation (so odd number obligations, like outfit parts). I'm a bit hesitant to change the harassment chances right now, because I feel like it appropriately challenges you for lewd officers and obligations. But if others also say that it's too punishing, then I may concede and tweak it down a bit.

Good, this makes me feel a lot better!! I was actually worrying that I couldn't make a game that was challenging, because I don't want to lose, myself. You don't want to make others lose either, right? That feels bad. But, the game does have to make losing a real possibility, to make victory that much sweeter! I also have to be careful not to make winning impossible. If hard mode is hard...I think I can accept that. My personal philosophy right now is that hard can be potentially impossible, that's okay with me. But easy should be a cake walk, and medium should be somewhere in the middle and definitely winnable.

Yes, hard should be challenging, with a certain probability of losing even as veteran player. And at the moment, there is no real point in balancing morale. Reason is, with each new scenes you add, morale is affected, and you would have to rebalance again. As long as there is a playable + challenging difficulty (currently medium), I like you idea of going on to the next scenes first. When all the scenes are finished, then there is the time for the overall balancing.

Btw., I might have found one small bug. If you accept an obligation, the harassment chance is already updated in the GUI before loading the cargo. However, the obligation is only applied at your next visit, MC is still wearing all her clothes. I'm not sure whether the new harassment chance is used in the loading harassment check, or if the harassment check for loading in the evening is already calculated in the morning.

Hey, didn't notice any issues when playing with newest release.

There's potential issue - or lack of luck on my side. Didn't receive any deals on shortest skirt from officers during my latest playthrough.

About changes:

1. Great change ! Working well, will put some suggestions below.

2. In my opinion scare factor - imagine accidentally clicking that and finishing your game prematurely :X

3. Pretty good addition - though I believe certain deals should have higher weights for harassment calculation

4. Welcome change - late game obligations were offered more frequently though as mentioned above potentially bugged

5. Didn't honestly register that change :P

1. - suggestions:

1.1. If at least one deal is present - make at least one clothing deal thought available.

1.2. Multi tiered comments - if for example cleavage exposes her bra it should be mentioned.

1.3. Priority weight of clothing deals - doubt MC will lament lack of jacket when she's strutting around in her skimpiest bra.

1.4. Managed to get her pussy out - strange there's no pubic hair shaving deal :P

1.5. Split MCs internal thoughts for top/bottom layers. Like mentioning it's a good thing her trousers covers that skimpy g-string, or embarassing stockings. Or wondering if that lacy bra is showing up with her revealing top.

1.6. Catcall/comments from bystanders - so far only MCs is voicing her opinions. Would be nice if bystanders also commented on her. Like 'nice jugs' or 'wearing g-string - just the way I like', 'is she a stripper or pilot with that high heels?'

1.7. Lastly I'd improve writting of certain clothing deals:
1.7.1. Good - Stockings - feeling strange when wearing it, and also it affecting her walk a little.

1.7.2. Bad - G-string - feels like she become a crack whore or something - too dark. I'd expect some comments on how skimpy it is/how weird does it feel to wear something so tiny.

Awaiting more content, focus on art sounds good ! Personnel transport feels like last unfinished content, so waiting for that part as well - especially how many potential events it could bring :P

Thanks for the great feedback! Those are great ideas! In particular, thanks for mentioning about the g-string text. I think writing is my weakest point, so I need feedback like this to help calibrate it.

In regards to (2), that's a really good point. In the next release, I'll try to add a confirmation check, where you can say yes or no, sort of like if you tried to rest during the day.

I'll check if the shortest skirt obligation is being made available. Thanks for the heads up!

Oh, you also reminded me something that I forgot to mention. I better update the game description about this. The writing might not totally match up with the current doll. That's because I'm writing in anticipation of the new doll we are creating.

Lastly, it's funny you mention shaving! We're both on the same wavelength. There actually already is an obligation for shaving. However, I have disabled it, until I can add some extra mechanics for it (since it's not something you can take off and put on, like a shirt).
