Update (18-Jun-2022)


Hi All,

This week, I've been testing the morning scenes and also adding some improvements. I'm happy that I was able to add 3 quality of life improvements, that I wasn't able to add last month. First, now if you have more credits than debt left, you can simply finish the game early. You don't have to, but you can. Secondly, I polished a bit, how the station information screen in the main menu displays what obligations are there. Lastly, I've also added extra weight to later obligations, so that they are more likely to show up at higher relationship levels. It's not guaranteed, but it should be more likely.

There's another improvement that I'm happy about. The game now calculates the chance the main character will be harassed, either in the morning, or when loading or unloading. This chance is based on the personalities and ranks of the officers on the station, and also how many "public" obligations the main character has on that station. That means that stations with rude officers will also have a culture of rudeness, and if those officers are higher ranking, then that culture of rudeness will be even more present. Furthermore, as the main character adopts more obligations on a station, that station's culture also chances over time, to become more harassment prone.

I've also added a panel, which shows how likely harassment is and why. I think this is kind of fun for me, because it feels like you have some more insight into the various places, and maybe feel the progress as obligations are adopted. The panel also lets you know that the dice roll to see if harassment occurs only happens once a day, not every time you come and go.


I still feel the writing could use more polish, and there are further testing that needs to be done about those quality of life updates. But if all goes well, I aim to make another release next weekend. After that, I plan to move on to the next bit of writing. I was thinking about doing the scenes for relationship level 4 "private" obligations. But, I learned a lot doing the morning scenes, both in terms of writing and coding. Therefore, I want to first update the current scenes, such as cargo loading/unloading, checking if the main character is wearing the underwear she promised, and the officers molesting her. After that, I would like to focus on 3 new scenes. One is the officers asking her to flash her assets, and another is personnel and VIPs harassing her during her missions. I also want to expand a little on the night time activities, but that might be too ambitious. Maybe 2 months from now for that last one.

Hey, thanks for update. Higher level obligations having higher weight is pretty useful. Finishing paying prematurely - I don't see a point honestly, I mean the point of the game is to pretty much get as much obligations as possible before the game ends, I can't see any benefit of finishing paying prematurely.

Hmm, does certain obligations have bigger harassment chance weight than the others ? Like I would expect showing bra due to removing top layer having way bigger impact than let's say just removing the jacket. Really like that system with growing harassment based on obligations :P

Once again - more info how everything is calculated is always nice to have :D

Can't wait till next weekend then :P Current plan sounds solid - those parts of game coming in near future don't have any content yet. Night time activities sounds good - they're too linear currently in my opinion :P Ideally they could use some outfit detection/harassment or even deals from certain officers.

Doing great job on those updates, if you'd like some ideas/suggestions/feedback regarding certain aspects of the game I'm sure you'll get flooded here :P

You've mentioned before about additional text when MC is redressing due to obligations, is it still planned ?

6th May entry - about Dress Up/Down:

"This is something I'm quite keen on, but I think it'll be fairly complex. I should definitely do this after any possible Doll Art revamp. Basically, the player would have to dress up/down the main character when she leaves her aircraft in the morning, goes to the cargo bay or leaves the station in the evening, and before she goes to sleep. This would be quick or even skipped when she has no obligations in the morning. But later in the game, as she accumulates more obligations, it'll definitely cost her and the player more time to deliver her side of the bargain"

Oh yeah, I'm glad you brought that up! Oh man, I've been thinking about that a lot, and I have such mixed feelings about it. It's something I really want, and have been wanting since the very beginning. But it also seems like something I'll have to focus a lot of effort on. I don't think I can multitask it while also writing new scenes. A big part of the challenge is getting the logic right, like "does the MC need to take off her pants to put on a different pair of panties?" Because of that, I think it's in the "Very nice to have, but a bit too hard" bucket, for now. :( I'm bummed about it, but I think it's a better use of time to write more scenes for now. thanks for keeping us up to date with your current progress :-)

Quality of life improvements: All 3 of them look really good.

Harassment chances: I like the idea of dynamic harassment chances. What I do not really get is what exactly you calculate. Does it mean that you calculate one harassment chance, and then where the harassment happens? In other words, if you are harassed in the morning, you are safe while loading? Or is it the probability for each of the events? I would prefer the latter, on some days you're lucky and nothing happens at all, some days you get a single harassment, but some days seem to be cursed and you feel like you are stalked on every step you go.

About the panel with he harassment chances, I would make it optional, like the mission payment calculation. Some players love to see every calculation, while for others this is over-information.

Your future todo-list seems to be in the right order. The missing higher level obligations and personal transport scenes are the spots where the game feels most like in progress. While scenes on night time activities would be great, this is not where you feel like something is missing. I would even go further and first write all high level obligations before writing the night time scenes.

Thanks, yeah, it's as you say, it's the probability for each of the events, individually. So for example, the main character could be harassed while walking to the office, and then harassed again after loading. But if she walked to the office without being harassed, then she won't be harassed if she left the office and then came back into the office again, that same day.
