Update (10-Apr-2023)

Just wanted to give you a quick update.

I was inspired to keep working on the Harem of Commander prototype. I really want to make an alternative cardgame/deckbuilder mechanic for it, as an alternative for the table and dice roll mechanic. This would give me a lot of good practice with making such a system. I also designed some card ideas on paper.

But before that, I wanted to polish up some of the existing mechanics in version 0.1 of Harem of Commander. I was in the zone or something, but here are all the stuff I worked on. I still need to test them before making it live and available for download. I expect release date for version 0.2 to be between 16th and 30th of April.

  1. Added keyboard controls and show what letter corresponds to which button.
  2. Display tables and roll results. This can be turned on and off.
  3. Show the history of a hero from that hero's menu screen (what did she do on day 1, day 2, etc...).
  4. Track when a hero first did certain activities. For example, the game will display when a hero first gave a blowjob.
  5. Track which hero first did a certain activity. For example, which hero was the first to strip for the commander.
  6. Added the ability to name the commander.
  7. Added random name generation for heroes, where the random names are specified by the player.
  8. Ability to trim the archive, instead of deleting it completely. This might help keep the saved files small.
  9. A bunch of UI related adjustment, such as showing the player how much of which affinity the hero gained, and adding a confirmation screen before deleting the archive.
  10. Fixed some weird bugs.

I've also been thinking about Delivery Pilot. I might use the table and dice system from Harem of Commander for the sleazy female officer, next. It seems like a very manageable way of creating procedurally generated scenes. If so, I think I might start working on it on May.
